Allergens

The honest version

We bake with nuts, butter, cream, eggs, gluten, dairy, and the occasional booze. Everything is made in the same home kitchen, on the same surfaces, with the same equipment. We cannot guarantee anything is allergen-free, including items that don't list a particular ingredient.

What's regularly in the kitchen

  • Wheat / Gluten

    in cakes, cookies, pastries, bread

  • Dairy

    butter, milk, cream, cheese

  • Eggs

    in most baked goods

  • Tree nuts

    almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios

  • Soy

    occasional — check item description

  • Sesame

    on some breads and biscuits

If you have an allergy

  • Tell us before you order. Drop a note when Smit calls to confirm, or DM us on Instagram first.
  • For severe allergies: we recommend you don't order. Cross-contamination risk in a home kitchen is real and we can't make it zero.
  • For preferences (e.g. eggless): we can sometimes adapt. Ask us when you order.
